Miscast the Musical Cabaret

Coming to Sue Townsend Theatre on 15th & 16th March 2019

The brand new Leicester theatre company, JWilliams Theatre Productions are set to go on stage this March at the Sue Townsend theatre with their show, Miscast the Musical Cabaret. The show is a delightful evening of fun, music and song castings in a way that you have never seen before.

The performances showcase music from popular musicals such as Legally Blonde, Hamilton and West Side Story, as well as lesser known musicals like Lift and Out of Our Heads. Each song has been re-casted, allowing the company to create new dynamics which will bring audiences a performance that is light-hearted, unusual and unexpected.

This is the second performance by JWilliams Theatre Productions who were described as an “industry powerhouse” after their hugely successful show, On the Surface, We Smile in November 2018 at Melton Theatre. The company is managed by Joshua Williams and they are making a name for themselves as the new kids on the block with big visions for the future.

Joshua Williams is the director of this production and he is joined by returning choreographer, Hannah Castledine. The show includes performers from across Leicestershire and Nottingham including Joshua Williams and Tilly Tilson (Jackson and Lisa in On the Surface We Smile), Richard Wiles (Parade, Lift), Nade Franklin (Parade, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Shrek) and Philippa Iliffe (Parade, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). The cabaret- style evening allows the audience to get lost in a night of music and laughter.

Joshua Williams, founder of the company says, “After the success of On the Surface We Smile last November, the production team wanted to create a different type of performance to showcase the great talent within the company. I think we have more than achieved this and I can’t wait for you to see how diverse we can be as a company.”

The show débuts at the Sue Townsend theatre in Leicester on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March 2019. Doors open for the two evening shows at 7.15pm.
